Shifting Tides: Art in a Changing Climate

group exhibition parallel to Art Week Berlin 2025

Under the title ‘Shifting Tides: Art in a Changing Climate’, 20 students from Berlin and Paris are artistically exploring the most pressing challenge of our time - the climate crisis. The exhibition will take place parallel to Berlin Art Week 2025 at Kunstraum Potsdamer Str. Among other things, the works deal with the personal stories of young artists who reflect on their experiences with the climate crisis in their immediate environment. New technologies as well as their potential to promote sustainability and raise environmental awareness also play a role. Art is understood as a medium of protest and as a catalyst for social change that addresses issues of climate justice. Moreover, the works deal with visions of future ecosystems that oscillate between utopia and dystopia. They range from painting, mixed media, video and installation art to fashion design and performance.
