We offer space for up to 130 children on 3 floors.
In the toddler area, up to 40 children aged 0 to 3 years are cared for, divided into two groups. In the elementary area we accompany up to 90 children from 3 years old until they start school.

Our daycare center is located in a traffic-calmed environment and has its own playground.
It is within walking distance of the campus of the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and can be easily reached by U9 and U6 from the Leopoldplatz and Amrumer Straße stations.

There’s the need to explore the world in every child, to learn about new things and to express oneself. We regard it as one of our core tasks to accompany the child sensitively and to offer them an explorative field according to their respective age and stage of development.

Our house is open to ideas, creativity and fantasy of the children. Apart from the family, the day care community is another little living environment. We offer support and room for creativity to explore and further shape this living environment, i.e. the design of the garden.

We want to strengthen the children’s sense of togetherness and their respect towards one another. We achieve this through various group activities, for example by doing experiments as a group or by visiting the adventure playground. The children learn from each other and are inspired to explore their environment together as well as to develop their motor and linguistic abilities.

We support cognitive and social competences. We put a special emphasis on the education of nature, environment, technology and sustainability. We encourage the children to think about their environment while playing, observing and experimenting. We support them in answering these questions individually and also find individual solutions.

Our large, bright rooms offer stimulating play areas and opportunities for retreat.
All rooms are equipped according to the current needs of the children.

In the toddler area, 40 children aged 0 to 3 years are cared for.
There is plenty of space for creative and musical play and development processes.
This area is on the ground floor and has direct access to the garden.
Our toddler area is divided into 2 groups: Moon Group and Sun Group.
Each group has 2 rooms for playing, eating and romping and a cloakroom.

The elementary area extends over 2 floors.
On the first floor (green floor) up to 50 children are cared for and on the second floor (blue floor) up to 40 children, aged 3 to school age.
We work according to the open concept.
The children find different materials in different functional rooms, such as the building room and the role play room, so that they can playfully deal with themselves and the environment.
Each floor in the elementary area has a studio with a variety of creative materials and an area where the children can try their hand at handicrafts and do research: our Lernwerkstatt.
All meals are taken together in the respective children's restaurants.
These also serve as a place for table games during the day.
The children always have the opportunity to play in the garden or to withdraw.

Our beautiful playground offers many exciting play opportunities. Playgrounds nearby offer further attractive play areas to be active.
The day care centre also has a large exercise room for all children in the basement and a indoor hall is within walking distance in the neighbouring building.

Habitat Exploration & Experience Nature

Children should experience nature especially in the inner-city area.
This includes, among other things, experiencing the seasons and different weather phenomena, as well as directly experiencing natural elements.
Our garden offers a variety of plants, such as bushes, flowers and berry bushes, where the children can observe natural growth processes together with the educational staff.
We also want to give the children numerous opportunities to experience how the environment and nature are used in our culture.

For joint excursions, such as to the ATZE music theatre and the Berlin Zoo, we use the nearby surroundings and the Berlin cultural landscape.
We regularly go to the nearby Rehberge or to surrounding playgrounds.

We provide the children with a variety of gross and fine motor movement experiences.
The children should get to know their own bodies better and at the same time understand their environment.
Movement plays a big role in this.
In our movement room, they can romp, climb and build their own retreats, such as caves.
The garden is used daily, which gives the children more independence and self-efficacy.

Even more possibilities are offered by the gymnasium of the Berlin University of Applied Sciences in the adjacent building, which we use twice a week.
Here, different activities such as climbing a movement landscape, playing with the swing cloth or ball games can be enjoyed.

Preparation for school

We want to enable the children to make a good and safe transition to school.
Therefore, once a week, our preschool children are offered a programme within an age-homogeneous group. At the beginning, different emotions are discussed, what are they called, how do they feel and how do I deal with them.
Our focus is on promoting social skills such as dealing with conflicts, a sense of responsibility, trust in oneself, empathy and respectful interaction with others.
The children deal with rules, why they exist and what they are good for.
At the end of the daycare year, project-related activities take place.
Excursions, such as a visit to the library or the traffic garden, round off our programme.
