Reading: Berlin Stories & TextTransit [in German]

In the first part of the evening, Jacquelin Strobel will read texts from her time as a Stadtschreiberin and present her final project. Afterwards, she will hand over the office to her successor: Alexandra Zysset will be Stadtschreiberin from August 2025. She will also provide initial insights into her literary work on this evening. The student writer-in-residence project Berlin Stories is unique in Germany and was initiated by the Kulturwerk Berlin of studierendenwerk BERLIN.

The second part of the evening belongs to TextTransit, an intercultural, multilingual writing group. The authors spent a semester working on their literary projects under the direction of Mariusz Hoffmann. They will present the resulting texts at the final reading. The texts are intercultural in a biographical sense, but also in terms of content and language. A mixture that only Berlin can achieve.
