Submit a follow-up application now!

 We recommend submitting a BAföG follow-up application now to ensure that there is no interruption in the receipt of benefits.

This offers the advantage that the financial support continues without any breaks and your studies are not affected.

If you are already registered with BAföG digital, the renewal application can be completed in just a few steps:

  • Log in to bafoeg-digital.de (using your existing BundID).
  • Click on ‘Submit renewal application’ in the user area.
  • Confirm that you wish to use the data from your last application (provided that long-term storage has been enabled).
  • Check the details you have already entered and update them if necessary (e.g. income, assets, housing situation or other changes).
  • Upload up-to-date supporting documents, e.g. a certificate of enrolment and – if required – further documents such as a transcript of results or proof of income.
  • Check your application, submit it digitally and save the confirmation of receipt.
