Open Call: Intercultural Writing GroupTextTransit [in German]

Apply until 15 September with your text and write for a semester under the guidance of Franziska Hauser.

In the writing group ‘TextTransit’, students work together on their texts for one semester. Franziska Hauser, author and photographer, born in the GDR and leader of intercultural DAF groups, teaches the course in the winter semester.

All literary texts are welcome. Students can apply regardless of their field of study. TextTransit is intercultural in nature. This means that the group is aimed at students who write about intercultural topics or speak and write other languages. The focus of the group depends on its leadership. Students can apply in the winter semester with texts in different languages. The spoken language will be German.

The aim of the group is to improve the participants' own writing. Equally important are the critical exchange between the group members and their collaboration. The group also develops a joint project, which is presented at the end of the semester in a public reading or other literary event.

We look forward to receiving your application by 11:59 p.m. on 15 September 2025. Applications can be submitted using the registration form below, subject to the terms and conditions of participation. The writing group leader will select the texts and then inform the selected participants by mid-October. The meetings will take place from the second week of lectures onwards, every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the StudierendenWERK rooms at Hardenbergstraße 34 in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
