Screening & Award Ceremony: Film it! 48 Hours - 2026

Short film competition with live voting & audience awards

At the closing event of Film it! 48 Hours, three audience awards will be presented during a public screening. Voting will take place on-site on the evening of the event. Each attendee has two equal votes, which must be cast for two different entries. The awards will be given based on the number of votes each entry receives. The winners will be announced on the evening of the screening. Come along and vote!
The following audience awards will be presented:

  • 1st Prize: €500
  • 2nd Prize: €300
  • 3rd Prize: €200


Film it! is a short film competition for students from universities cooperating with studierendenWERK Berlin. The films are created within a specified timeframe, addressing a defined theme and incorporating certain elements. The competition aims to provide students—regardless of their field of study or prior experience—with a platform for collaborative, interdisciplinary, and creative work. The competition is open to all forms of artistic and creative cinematic expression and all genres.
