The exhibition will take place on 1 July 2026 from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm at the Kunstraum on Potsdamer Straße.
Climate change is affecting more than just our environment. It can also shape our sense of belonging, to a place and to one another.
"What Connects Us" is a participatory pop-up exhibition that explores connection, belonging, and resilience in the face of climate change. The exhibition presents the outcomes of an intergenerational dialogue that took place between older adults living in Berlin and young migrants, bringing together their experiences, perspectives, and creative responses to some of today's most pressing social and environmental challenges.
Through conversations, drawings, and written reflections, participants reflected on themes of climate change, loneliness, community, and what it means to feel connected. These collective contributions now form the heart of this public exhibition. The exhibition invites visitors to engage with stories and creative expressions that highlight both shared challenges and collective strategies for building more connected, climate-resilient communities.
Whether you're interested in climate justice, intergenerational exchange, or simply connecting with others through art and dialogue - "What Connects Us" offers a space for reflection, inspiration, and community.
Exhibition materials are presented in both German and English. Admission is free, and the exhibition is open to everyone, regardless of age, background, or student status.
