petrichor

Photographs by Fee in the Schinkelsaal art space.

“Petrichor refers to the smell of rain on stone and dry earth, which I associate with decay and reconstruction.

In my photographs I deal with the romanticization of industrialization, overproduction and waste as well as the resulting consequences on nature: change, forest death, but also resurgence. I experiment with opening, dissolving and changing structures. Since I like the randomness, I avoid strict planning, which is why my work consists exclusively of analogue photographs and I largely avoid digital post-processing. I created the transitions myself with the camera, and I wanted to let the coincidence happen in an intuitive way.”
