This course will provide you with the fundamental knowledge and understanding of what is required to take part in a musical theatre production. By combining dance, singing and acting, you will develop the skills to convey a wide range of emotions and tell stories through your performance. Every element of musical theatre interacts with the others. In other words, the music and singing enhance the dancing to convey a message to the audience. Together, we will uncover the secrets of musicals from the perspective of actors, singers and dancers.
This course culminates in a musical theatre performance. We will select three songs from different show genres.
