Course: Musical

Sing, dance and act! Discover the joy and fun of the Broadway musical!

Discover the magic of Broadway! A musical is that magical blend of singing, dancing and acting that brings out the best in your talents and takes the fun factor to new heights. Our journey into the world of musicals will not only boost your confidence but also unlock brand-new skills within you. You’ll be guided by real professionals: a director/choreographer from the Big Apple and a musical director/musician from the heart of Berlin. To build a first-class troupe, we focus on personalised physical and vocal training, reliable regular attendance, as well as teamwork and camaraderie.

This course will provide you with the fundamental knowledge and understanding of what is required to take part in a musical theatre production. By combining dance, singing and acting, you will develop the skills to convey a wide range of emotions and tell stories through your performance. Every element of musical theatre interacts with the others. In other words, the music and singing enhance the dancing to convey a message to the audience. Together, we will uncover the secrets of musicals from the perspective of actors, singers and dancers.

This course culminates in a musical theatre performance. We will select three songs from different show genres.

  • Dance: Developing dynamism, expression and basic technical skills

  • Vocal coaching: Fascinating insights into fundamental vocal and singing techniques
  • Acting: An introduction to acting methods: how to develop a character and tell a story through song and dance.

  • Artistic Directors: Leslie Unger and Joris Brauburger
