Course Improvisational theatre in English

In this course we will practice the basics of improvised theatre in English.

Spontaneity, imagination, creativity, interaction with the audience and, above all, teamwork. Inventing dramatic, nerve-wracking, heart-wrenching, romantic and completely original stories. Entertaining theatre, using your voice, your imagination and your flashes of inspiration. Discover your talent for improvisation and sign up for the course!

  • Previous experience in improv or theatre is a bonus, but not a requirement.
  • The course is taught in English; native-level English is not required.
  • At the end of the semester (9 February 2027), there will be an improv show at Freiraum.

  • Artistic Director: Paul Schmidt
  • Course language: English (Native-level English is not required.)
  • Course times: weekly on Fridays from 16 October 2026 to 29 January 2027, from 2.15 pm to 3.45 pm.
  • The course is cancelled on: 25 December 2027 & 1 January 2027
  • Suitable for all levels of improvisation and drama.
