Fête de la Musique

Student musicians conquer the large open-air stage at Steinplatz. Come along and celebrate with us!

At the Fête de la Musique, the studierendenWERK's culture office presents a variety of young musicians. Acoustic and electronic, quiet and wild or melodic and rhythmic - Berlin's students will once again be playing a wide range of music. We are looking forward to fun day and dancing together!

At the Fête de la Musique you can experience performances free of charge and open air. This is how summer will be welcomed on 21 June 2025 at over 300 locations throughout the city: inclusive, diverse, peaceful, friendly, open to all musical styles, for professionals as well as beginners on their instruments. We at Kulturwerk are looking forward to giving students a stage and celebrating together in (hopefully) bright sunshine.

Look forward to varied acts, sophisticated music and a great atmosphere!

Unität - a special kind of singing project that has never been seen before in Berlin's colourful choral landscape: studierendenWERK BERLIN brings together over 200 students from all of Berlin's universities to sing pop together under the musical direction of Johanna Brüll.

Born and raised in Berlin, Kihra started writing her own songs at an early age and later learnt to play the guitar, piano and bass. At 16, she began producing her own songs and publishing them on SoundCloud and now also on Spotify & Co.

The result is her very own, honest sound with music and lyrics that are always searching.

Teenweek begins in a dream. As soon as he woke up, singer and guitarist Phil Farrow wrote down the name, met drummer Rodrigo Negrete and both began to turn the idea into reality. With keyboardist and singer Djamila Ullrich and bassist and singer Katharina Arndt, the band takes shape and finds its own sound. For vibing and feeling good as well as dancing the night away!

Hi, we're Jess (vocals), Jango (guitar) and Till (drums), three students from Berlin who like to make their own indie pop music in their spare time. As we can't all be there on 21 June ☹, Jess will perform her soulful songs in an acoustic session with vocals and piano on stage.
Living room concert feeling guaranteed! We look forward to seeing you there!

IsaIpa, also known as Isabel Miller Iparraguirre, is a singer/musician and actor based in Vancouver Canada. Having been born in Madrid, raised in Mexico City/Vancouver, and studied Paris, she is most empowered when she is able to synthesise the energies of different cultures into a single experience. Having studied classical music and jazz, she mainly dabbles in tango, latin-jazz, and west coast jazz, but loves to combine all mediums of art - including electronic music!! She is the proud producer and artistic director of the shows La Removida and Dasyna’s Tango, and is thrilled to be performing in Berlin.

AVA ADÉ's music is a reflection of life - constantly changing, constantly searching. Genres blur as AVA explores their own emotional world. Each song is a step on this journey, an expression of what sometimes cannot be put into words. AVA ADÉ is an alter ego, a creative free spirit who breaks new musical ground without adhering to conventions. AVA ADÉ stands for empowerment and takes the listener on a journey back in time, sometimes reminiscent of the 80s with lots of synth tunes, but always looking to the future.

Isalpa from Paris and AVA ADÉ from Berlin were selected for the German-French exchange programme of the studierendenWERK BERLIN and CROUS DE PARIS will present the artistic results of this intercultural exchange.

Hello, we are Rundfunk - a band that has been around for many years. In the past years we were allowed to participate at the Fête de la musique and had a lot of fun every year! The last years we played funk covers, but now we want to share our funky/pop german indie songs with everyone :))

Germany's first Loopstation songwriter in the world, original storyteller, makes popular science on self-made beats, nerdcore in German and propaganda in the field of tension between social collapse and socio-ecological utopia, between anarcho-primitivism and robot communism.

Where's Frankie? is a young, student band from Berlin. Between rock and post-punk, between melancholy and anger, they find their sound, their expression and their love of music. With their queer perspective, the band breaks musical and social norms and creates songs that invite both identification and dancing.

We are Eugene Machine, an up-and-coming alternative rock band from Berlin. From the depths of the TU Berlin's laboratory cellars, we invade stages to play music like a mixture of Billy Talent and King Crimson with wind instruments.

This unique style is not like other rock bands. So look forward to emotional lyrics and a great show!
