CultureTRIP: City Tour Potsdam Sanssouci

In the footsteps of the past!

Our two-hour tour begins in the Dutch Quarter (Holländisches Viertel), which was built in the mid-18th century for Dutch craftsmen and is now one of the most attractive residential areas in the state capital, Potsdam. We then continue on foot to Sanssouci Park, where over 250 years of garden design and the works of architects and sculptors come together to form a total work of art that is unique in Germany. Our final destination is Sanssouci Palace itself, which once served as Frederick the Great’s favourite retreat and summer residence.

Listen, ask questions and join us on a journey of discovery in search of traces of a bygone era. After the CultureTRIP, anyone who wishes can continue exploring Sanssouci Palace, the park and the nearby lake at their own pace!

The Kulturwerk Berlin of studierendenWERK BERLIN regularly organises a variety of excursions and tours for students during the lecture period. These activities are a great opportunity to discover new things together with other students at low cost and to socialise in the process. You can find all excursions in our event calendar under the tag ‘Ausflug.’"
