Search for the course of study

What can I study in Berlin? What degree programs are there?

In this section you will get a few tips for finding your desired course of study.

If you want to study at a university, there are many offers for you. Here are a few tips to help you find the right one for you:

Information portals on the Internet

In these information portals you will find up-to-date information about study and doctoral opportunities at state and state-recognized German universities:

In the search engines you can limit your search to specific locations, such as Berlin. But you can also search nationwide.

Tips for use:

  1. When using a search engine, note whether the university listed is private or public. Private universities can charge high tuition fees (>500 euros per month).
  2. Different universities have different requirements. If you don't meet the requirements for one university, find out about offers at other universities.
  3. The more flexible you are to study somewhere other than Berlin, the greater your chances of getting a place.
  4. If you are interested in a specific university or University of Applied Sciences, check the university's website to find programs that might be of interest to you.

You can see an overview of all English-language degree programs at Berlin universities here .

Note: There are many more master's than bachelor's programs in English at state universities. If you decide to go to a private university, pay attention to the tuition fees!
