Residence Tutors Eichkamp
My name is Graca Sophie Tchuente and I am a tutor at the Eichkamp residence hall. I grew up in Cameroon and have been living in Germany for four years. Of course, I feel at home in Cameroon with my family. But since I arrived in Germany, I no longer define home as a place, but rather as the people with whom I can simply be myself and enjoy life without stress or hypocrisy. I speak English, French, German and a little Spanish. I study business communication at HTW Berlin and my hobbies are singing, dancing, reading, writing, watching videos and films, listening to music, going for walks and travelling. I enjoy planning girls' nights, trips, parties, walks and chill-out parties at home. My hall of residence has already hosted summer parties, volleyball games and barbecues. I find out about new parties through posters. What I like best about my hall of residence is the nature. There are so many trees and meadows, I find it very beautiful and I am falling in love with nature.

Hello, I'm Ilayda, one of the tutors at the Eichkamp residence hall. At Eichkamp, we have many common areas such as the gym, music room, beach volleyball court, hall, bicycle repair shop and clothing swap room. These areas are supervised by us tutors and committed volunteers. We also regularly organise social events where you can meet new people and have a good time together. In the past, for example, we have had sunset viewing parties, a clay workshop, a games night, and a creative meeting.
Most of my hobbies are related to art, especially cinema, drawing, and tattooing. I also enjoy going to the gym and playing beach volleyball. I am interested in creative workshops and sporting events. I would like to organise meetings where we can get together and be creative – for example, drawing, creative writing or crafting. Another idea is to organise a beach volleyball tournament. Your suggestions and participation are very welcome.
