Residence Tutors Aristotelessteig
Hi everyone 😊
My name is Gizem Salmaz and since October 1st, 2025, I have been a tutor at the
Aristotelessteig student residence.
I am studying Production Engineering (Master) at TU Berlin and I completed my
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering at TU Braunschweig.
I was born in Braunschweig, but my roots are in Turkey. So I feel at home in both
countries. I have a migration background and speak German, English and Turkish.
In my free time, I like to go running, do sports, read, enjoy a coffee and explore the city
of Berlin.
Our residence is a calm and friendly place, but also a great spot to connect with others.
We even have a bar and we work together with the SSV to organise parties and events.
I am also looking forward to organising various activities such as game nights, picnics,
movie evenings, city walks, sports events or just casual get-togethers to laugh, chat
and leave everyday life behind.
If you have any questions or need support, whether it’s about official appointments,
university life or daily life in Berlin. You can always reach out to me. I’m excited to get
to know you and to help create a welcoming and lively community here at
Aristotelessteig!
All events will be announced via the WhatsApp group and on posters in the residence.

Hey everyone! I'm Phil, and as a tutor at the Aristotelessteig hall of residence, I'm your contact for cool events and exchanges between residents.
I'm originally from a small town in Bavaria, but I now feel much more at home in the big city – mainly because of the diversity and countless opportunities that Berlin offers.
I'm studying for a bachelor's degree in chemistry at Humboldt University and speak German and English. In my free time, I like to go jogging or bouldering – both help me clear my head and provide a balance to my studies.
We regularly organise events in the hall of residence to strengthen community life and make everyday life a little more varied. In the past, we have had barbecues, games evenings and excursions together. Exciting activities are also planned for the future! If you have any ideas or would like to see certain events take place, please let us know. Announcements about new events can be found in the hall of residence's WhatsApp group.
What makes the Aristotelessteig hall of residence special? The residential complex boasts an excellent location: it offers excellent transport links by tram and U-Bahn, yet is slightly off the beaten track, so you can relax in peaceful surroundings. The hall of residence also has spacious outdoor facilities with seating, table tennis tables and other leisure activities.
If you have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to contact me personally – I am also available by email and WhatsApp. I look forward to getting to know you!
Best regards,
Phil
