10. Age Limit

 

BAföG-In the 2022/23 amendment, the age limit will be raised significantly.

Training funding is now generally provided if you are younger than 45 years old at the start of the training phase (Bachelor/Master) for which you are applying for training funding.

As a result of the new regulation, students who were fundamentally rejected before the winter semester 22/23 due to the age limit in force until then can now receive funding.

In any case, starting a master's degree begins a new phase of training, so that the age limit requirements must be checked (again) for this start of training.

If you start your master's training immediately after completing your bachelor's degree, the age limit does not apply.
