What do I need – and how do I say it? [Only in German]

Clarifying needs for students on the autism spectrum - including AuDHD

This workshop is designed for autistic students (including individuals with AuDHD) and follows the format of a guided peer exchange.

The goal of the workshop is to mindfully tune into yourself, acknowledge your own experiences, and validate the needs associated with them.

After a brief introduction to the topic of self-perception, we will work in a small group to explore which needs deserve more attention in everyday (academic) life. Our exchange may focus on the following questions:

  • What gives me energy, and what drains it?
  • How do I handle my own performance expectations and those of others?
  • How can I stand by my needs? And how do I communicate them so they are heard?

In the final part of the workshop, we will look at specific situations in everyday student life that require clear communication of needs. We will discuss helpful communication techniques and ways to deal with unsuitable structures or inappropriate reactions.

This workshop is intended as an Empowerment Circle. You are very welcome to join even if you only suspect you might be on the autism spectrum (self-identification).

There will be a break during the session. Listening is perfectly fine at any time; no one will be required to speak at any specific moment.
