Forest bathing [Only in German]
Away from the desk, out into nature!
Do you know the term forest bathing?
In Japan and China, the soothing immersion in the tranquility of the forest is regarded as medicine. The idea is to try and experience nature with all our senses.
Forest bathing helps you to lower your stress levels during the strenuous exam period, strengthens your immune system, helps you relax and tap into your creativity.
What is the plan?
We meet in front of the snack bar “Alde Pommesbude” at Fischerhüttenweg (approx. 10-15 minutes from the subway station “Krumme Lanke” to the north-west) and walk into the forest to the lake Krumme Lanke and Schlachtensee. The route ends again at the “Alde Pommesbude”.
On the way, we will talk about the origins and effects of stress and how forest bathing affects the body and mind. Breathing and mindfulness exercises help to intensify the effect of nature.
Depending on time and need, you have the opportunity to try out a technique for dealing with acute stress.
Please bring a surface to sit on (a blanket or yoga mat) and enough fluids to stay hydrated.
Therapy dog Lupi will support us on our journey back to nature. Please bear this in mind if you have severe allergies (even though she is hypoallergenic) or a dog phobia.
