Pathways from Vocational Training to Higher Education

New Perspectives for International and Refugee Students and Prospective Students

Has your wish to study in Berlin not yet been fulfilled? Are you unable to apply to a university with your current qualifications, or do you have other obstacles to overcome? Or are you already studying at a university, but things are not going as planned? Sometimes the path (back) to university can go through vocational training!

In this event, Kerstin Greif from studierendenWERK BERLIN and Leila Bading from the Career Counseling service at Freie Universität Berlin will provide information about vocational training, studying without a high school diploma, and the related residency issues. The topics covered include:

  • Studying without a high school diploma
  • The attractiveness of dual education
  • How does a dual education program work?
  • Which vocational training suits me?
  • Finding a vocational training program
  • Residence permit for vocational training

After the presentation, there will be time for your individual questions to the speakers.
