Residential volleyball tournament

The tournament took place on August 29.08.2020th, 12 on the grounds of the Eichkamp dormitory. A total of XNUMX teams came together in the different dormitories to compete against each other.

A real summer-sun-beach atmosphere was created! Feeling the sand between your feet with cool drinks and excellent weather almost made you forget that we were still in the middle of a city with a population of 4 million! And as Peter Fox sings, “…you’re doing good in the summer!”

The Corona regulations that we had to adhere to during the day were no longer a problem. Every participant was registered and spectators were excluded as guests. The teams came from a dormitory and were therefore considered a household, so that there was no need to keep their distance within the team. However, the distance rules had to be adhered to between the teams. These regulations required the rules of the game to be changed and players were not allowed to get too close to the net when blocking - but this did not affect the fun of the game.

The team from the Siegmunds Hof dorm came back as winners of the tournament after narrowly winning the semi-finals. The top 3 teams received medals and the winning team received the main prize of the golden trophies that bore the symbol of the Eichkamp dormitory: the squirrel!

Thanks to the main organizer Joaquin and all the other helping tutors, as well as the staff Studierendenwerks for this beautiful summer sun beach day.
