MOMO BERA

2021

"Berlin demands nothing and everything. At the end of the day, we are just pets of a loving but completely overwhelmed city."

Even at 26, Momo Bera is still a Kreuzberg brat and, apart from an Erasmus stay in Bristol, hasn't made it outside the S-Bahn ring very often.

She is studying something related to art and education in the Held painting class at the University of the Arts. She paints pictures that are hungry but don't know what. And she writes large and small texts, poetry and prose. The lyrics aren't as hungry; They prefer to play with the food, even if you're not supposed to.

She has been a member of the Young Jury of the Project Fund for Cultural Education since 2018 and tries to strengthen the perspective of young, diverse people in Berlin's cultural world. She is also a member of the Rubikon painters' collective and the ad hoc poetry collective.

She likes to stand on bridges and look at swans. She collects words.
