Children who grow up with addicted parents can experience severe psychological stress. They often take on responsibilities too early, which affects their development and can lead to fear, shame and guilt.
Despite outwardly conforming behavior, they struggle with internal conflicts and often have difficulty maintaining relationships later in life, do not know how to deal with the strong need for control that arose in childhood and are still faced with the challenge of dealing with the (former) addicted parent as adults .
Our group offers a safe place to talk about these experiences, find support and develop coping strategies together.
Target group:
Students who grew up with one or two addicted parents.
