Tips for exam time

Minimize exam anxiety easily and efficiently

The semester is coming to an end or the semester break has already begun, then it's time for the final spurt.

This is the time when exams for modules are coming up and getting closer.
Just the thought of the exam creates stress for some students - because they don't yet have the knowledge for the exam.
Some react to this with more intensive learning, others push the topic away.

What helps you in this situation?

1st tip:

Plan your learning load. Plan the time backwards from the exam date and distribute the learning material across possible learning times.

2st tip:

Practice what is required for your exam - i.e. for written exams: Write practice exams of the usual length, e.g. B. a 90 minute exam in 90 minutes without checking whether the results are correct.

3st tip:

When working on old exams, think about how you can ask new questions.

4st tip:

For oral exams: Practice speaking the learning content while you are learning and especially the technical terms so that they are more present in the exam.

5st tip:

Think of questions for yourself – simple questions and tricky questions and answer them.

6st tip:

Try to explain things from time to time. When explaining, you pay attention to the important things.

Good luck with your learning and your exams!
