Fully booked: Winter Drafts

The Wellbeing & Writing Retreat for your novel

How can you work on a novel in the Berlin winter in a focused, consistent and mindful way?

Winter Drafts brings the atmosphere of a writing retreat right into the heart of Berlin. Over four sessions that build on one another, the course combines creative novel-writing with mindfulness, movement, connecting with nature, feedback on your writing and shared discussion.

An inspiring winter walk and writing walk, journaling, breathing meditation and gentle yoga will help you find peace and develop a sustainable writing routine. Between the two course blocks, you can submit pages from your writing project. In January, you’ll receive detailed and respectful feedback on them. The course concludes with a reading workshop and a joint reading session.

If you’d like to delve deeply into a longer work of fiction, this workshop is just right for you! You need neither prior experience nor a finished manuscript.

The workshop will take place on the following dates:

  • Sunday, 15 November 2026, 10.00–17.00: Winter walk and Writing & Wellbeing
  • Monday, 16 November 2026, 16.00–20.00: Writing & Wellbeing and work on the novel project
  • Friday, 8 January 2027, 4.00 pm–8.00 pm: Text feedback and revision
  • Saturday, 9 January 2027, 10.00 am–5.00 pm: Text feedback, reading workshop and preparation for the closing reading

A lasting community. Lara Wüster’s writing courses are designed for the long term. Former participants can connect via an alumni mailing list for voluntary writing and feedback sessions.
