Unconscious Bias Workshop - Online

Learn more about discrimination and reflect on your own behavior

The impact of bias on decisions and its connection to discriminatory behavior is well researched and provides a suitable basis for subjecting decision-making processes to critical scrutiny. One's own privileges and speaking position and their impact on one's personal view of the world, is also to be considered especially against this background. The course enables students to learn new ways of working and attitudes that are indispensable for a change towards a more equal coexistence - in studies, in the professional world - but also in private life.

The focus is on dealing with the issues of power and privilege - what is considered "normal" and "neutral" is being questioned. The method refers to different (unconscious) forms of discrimination without equating or hierarchizing them. The event finds itself interactive and is very practice-oriented; participants directly apply presented content in reflexions and group exercises.
