Screening & Awards Ceremony: Film it! extended 2025

At the closing event of Film it! extended, three audience awards will be presented as part of a public screening. Voting takes place on the evening of the event, directly on site. Each visitor has two equal votes, which must be cast for two different competition entries. The awards are determined by the number of votes collected by each film. The winners will be announced on the evening of the screening.

1st Prize: €500
2nd Prize: €300
3rd Prize: €200

Film it! extended is a short film competition for students from universities that cooperate with studierendenWERK Berlin. The films are produced within a specified time frame, based on a set theme and including certain required elements. The aim of the competition is to provide students—regardless of their field of study or prior experience—with a platform for collaborative, interdisciplinary and creative work. The competition is open to all forms of artistic and creative cinematic expression and to all genres.
