Inside Plattenbau – Abysses and soaring heights

Group exhibition at KUNSTRAUM Potsdamer Straße

Against the background of the continuously increasing demand for housing, the project Inside Plattenbau - Abysses and soaring heights deals with the potential of existing prefabricated housing estates in Berlin Hellersdorf. For a period of 4 weeks, the Baugenossenschaft Stadt und Land provided several flats that were both the subject of analytical investigations and the filming location for imaginary film stories.

These cinematic stories as well as a rich collection of architectural designs on the themes of transformation, densification and intensification of existing structures will be shown on the two underground floors of Kunstraum Potsdamer Straße from 5 to 14 November.

Artists: Lilli Hanada, Matthias Numberger, Hannes Hehemann, Sophia Bernstein, Charlotte Herold, Maria Nesterowa, Anders Grivi Coleman, Philipp Preiss, Tobias List, Jierong Lyu, Paula Granda Ojeda, Polly Bruchlos, Jeanne Astrup-Chauvaux, Gabriel Fortenbacher, Nele Milk, Grete Ohlendorf, Julia Hartmeyer, Kenichiro Endo, Olga Herrenbrück, Maximilian Wolf, Maria Luisa Arnold
