Buchclub (2G+) [Mainly in German] - ONLINE

Book club focused on the topics: Feminism, Antiracism and Intersectionality

Unfortunately, the event is already full and registration is no longer possible. Participation is only possible after prior registration.

In the winter semester, the Office of Culture & International Affairs is once again hosting a book club with a focus on feminism, anti-racism and intersectionality. Topics that are sometimes difficult to grasp and require a sensitive culture of conversation. Based on current books, the book club aims to be a safe space for exchange, debate and self-reflection. The book club is led by Bianca Othmann. She studied German literature and cultural studies at Humboldt University, has been working at studierendenWERK for two and a half years, and supports the literary projects there as a student assistant.

At our meetings, we'll take a little time to get to know each other at the beginning before getting into conversation about the book of the evening over drinks and snacks in the cozy armchairs of the Fireside Room. Due to the uncertain pandemic situation, we reserve the right to move the event to the digital space.

At ourmeeting on January 17th we will talk about Rebekka Endler's Das Patriachat der Dinge. Warum die Welt Frauen nicht passt
