Berlin Stories opening reading of the city writer 2022 and final reading 2021 (2G+)

Our new city writer chosen by the jury will make her/*his debut at this opening reading in 2022.

Who will be the next city writer for Berlin Stories 2022? Find out at our kick-off reading in our Freiraum. 

At the same time, this is your last opportunity to listen to our city writer 2021, Momo Bera, who will present prose and poetry about Berlin. She will also show her closing project for the first time! In addition, the authors who have been shortlisted by the jury for Berlin Stories will read at the opening reading. 

On the shortlist for 2022 are:

  • Liv Toerkell
  • Charlotte Weber-Spanknebel
  • Elisabeth Pape

You don't have to register for the event, just come by. Please note that this event is subject to the 2G+ rule according to the Berlin Senate Decree of 15 Jan 2022, which you can read here. 

Please be there already at 6:30 p.m. so that we can start on time due to the longer admission controls!

With Germany's first student city writer project berlin stories, we want to capture the specific perspective of Berlin students on their city over a longer period of time. Each year, a different city writer is selected by an independent jury. We publish the resulting texts on our Berlin Stories Blog and on the cafeteria screens of the studierendenWERK BERLIN.
