Call for participation: TextTransit writing group

Intercultural writing group led by María Cecilia Barbetta - extended deadline for applications: 30 September 2021

In the writing group "TextTransit", students work on their texts over the duration of a semester under the guidance of an author. The writing group will be led by María Cecilia Barbetta in WS 2021/22.

The writing group is created interculturally. As a native Argentinean, María Cecilia Barbetta writes in German. She would therefore particularly like to encourage students to apply who write in German as non-native speakers. Spanish is also possible as a literary language, as well as other languages if the participants are able to translate themselves into German. Students writing purely in German are, of course, equally welcome. The course language will be German.

The course program will be interdisciplinary, incorporating elements of visual art and music. In particular, Latin American poetics will play a role. The focus will be on working on one's own texts and will be stimulated by creative writing exercises.

The goal of the group is to improve one's own literary writing through continuous work on the texts over the course of a semester. Equally important is the exchange among the group participants and the collaboration. The resulting texts are presented to the public during readings.

Application is possible via the application form below, taking into account the conditions of participation.
