Job Placement Service and Trainings

What Students Need to Know

Step 1: Registration

To use our agency services, students have to register with us. This can only be done in person during our office hours. Please ensure that you bring along all the documents from our checklist (in "downloads").

Step 2: Online Job Search

Job offers reach us from a wide range of areas. The options on offer range from online marketing to driving to helping people move house. All current vacancies can be viewed in the online database.

Step 3: Putting You in Contact

If all the employer’s preconditions are met, you can be placed in contact with the employer as per our Guidelines.

A person’s first job is often associated with many questions about tax assessment, social security contributions and all the legal requirements which arise. Likewise with questions such as “am I applying in the right way?” or “what rights and responsibilities do I have as student temp worker?”, there are many uncertainties.

studierendenWERK BERLIN offers a range of support and advisory services and workshops to make it easier to make the transition from study to career. For students who have to work during their studies, we offer training courses that provide additional qualifications and knowledge and improve chances on the labour market.

Events – such as employment law, tax return tips, correspondence training – provide practical tips for everyday (professional) life.
Most trainings are offered in german. The ones we provide in english can be found  >>here
