What employers need to know now

What employers need to know now

Dear employers,

studierendenWERK BERLIN ceases to operate its previous job exchange. Effective immediately, we are cooperating with the platform Stellenwerk, which publishes a wide range of student jobs and internships via www.stellenwerk-berlin.de . We will not accept any new job offers and will not post any new offers online.

Stellenwerk is one of the market leaders in Germany and the recruiting employers also commit themselves to respect certain legal regulations, in particular the Minimum Wage Act and the Act on General Equal Treatment (AGG).

As a company, you can publish your offers on Stellenwerk for a period of 28 days from EUR 50. For private offerers (carrying aids, Babysitter, etc.) the use of Stellenwerk is even free! You can find an overview of the current price lists here: www.stellenwerk.de/fuer-arbeitgeber/preisliste .

To offer a job, simply click on the "Offer job" button at www.stellenwerk-berlin.de - everything else will be explained to you. By the way, "Berlin" has already been preselected as the location for your job listing!

If your listing is online, students will contact you directly via the platform. A referral form ("Vermittlungsschein") is not issued and is not required.  You can immediately arrange a work placement with the students you contact.

If you have any questions about the vacancies or about Stellenwerk in general, you can contact them directly, free of charge by telephone from the German landline and mobile phone network at 0 800 210 05 62 or by e-mail at info@stellenwerk.de . Service times are Monday to Friday from 10 to 17.00 o'clock.

Trainings to improve employability

Trainings to improve employability

The first job is often associated with many questions about tax assessment, labour law and social security contributions. Will I be paid sick leave? Do I have a holiday entitlement? Do I have to pay taxes? These are all questions that we at studierendenWERK are frequently asked. There are also frequent uncertainties regarding the topics "How do I apply correctly?" or "How can I handle  my job and my studies at the same time?".

studierendenWERK BERLIN offers a comprehensive range of lectures and training courses. Of course, all training courses are free of charge. Most training courses are still offered in German, but we are working on being able to offer a more comprehensive range of training courses in English as well. Find out more!
