How to study in Berlin as a refugee from Ukraine

Information event for refugees affected by the war in Ukraine.

It is often not easy for prospective students who have fled Ukraine to find their way around the German university system. We would like to help you with orientation and answer the most important questions about university admission. We also provide tips on financing your studies with scholarships.

Contents:

  • Brief introduction to the higher education system in Germany
  • Information on study requirements:
    • Language requirements, language courses, English-language courses in Berlin
    • University entrance qualification: recognition of foreign educational qualifications
  • Information on the application process: Uni-Assist, Hochschulstart, direct application to Berlin universities
  • Information on financing your studies with scholarships

Language:
German with translation to Ukrainian.
