Covid-19 rules from 15 January 2022

The Berlin Senate has implemented new Corona rules as from Sat, 15 Jan 2022. In addition to the 2G proof, proof of booster vaccination or a negative rapid test is required.

Individuals with booster vaccination will need at the point of entry:

  • Valid proof of booster vaccination status in QR format.
  • Valid photo ID
        • Booster status can currently only be proven in the state of Berlin through appropriate booster vaccination, not recovery.
        • Booster vaccination certificates are valid immediately after vaccination.

Persons without booster vaccination require at admission:

  • Valid proof of vaccination in QR format or proof of recovery.
  • Valid photo ID
  • Daily updated negative rapid test from a test station

During the entire event, all persons must wear an FFP2 mask!

Compliance with our hygiene rules in accordance with the Berlin hygiene framework concepts culture is a mandatory requirement for event attendance. From 15 Jan, the 2G + rule applies and thus:

  • Admission only for vaccinated and recovered persons with proof of either a booster vaccinationor a rapid test updated on the day of the event.
  • Appropriate proof must be presented along with photo identification:
      • Vaccination certificate in QR format with proof of full vaccination protection. According to §9 paragraph 4 of the SARS-CoV-2 regulation, we are only allowed to accept digitally verifiable proof of vaccination (e.g.CovPass app).
      • Proof of recovery. Proof of a positive PCR test, which must not be older than 6 months and was issued at least 28 days ago.
      • Individuals who have been vaccinated outside the EU can show proof of their respective country, as long as it is an EU-approved vaccine and the vaccination cycle has been fully completed.
      • Individuals 18 years of age and older who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons must provide proof of a negative PCR test result from a testing station and proof of vaccination eligibility by medical certification, according to the SARS-CoV-2 regulation.
  • Wearing a medical or FFP2 mask throughout the building.

  • We ventilate with maximum fresh air. For ventilation and seating capacity of the respective hall, we follow the hygiene framework concept Culture, Rooms with Mechanical Ventilation of the Berlin Senate.
      • The air in the hall is completely exchanged with fresh air several times during the event by our high-performance systems.
      • We ventilate according to the hygiene framework concept before, during and after the event.
      • On cold days, despite heating, it may therefore be slightly colder in the hall than usual. Bring a sweater if you get cold easily.
  • Be there on time. We recommend being at the venue 30 minutes before the event starts, as it may take a while to check the test proofs.

  • Cancel if you feel unwell. We are not allowed to admit people with symptoms of illness or close contacts of Covid-19 cases.
  • Checking into the event. We will provide the Corona warning app and the Luca app. Alternatively, you can fill out a written verification of your presence at the event.
  • Keep your distance when moving. Please keep your distance when moving around, especially in foyers and restrooms, and at entrances and exits.
